Hello here I am, I have been, burned out on the computer, just haven't been able to play on it much. I have not given up. But have been dragging my feet.

Recieved a very nice note from Jen. She was worried about me. Was really nice of her.

Hi, Aunt Bee

Haven't seen you around as much as usual lately. How are things going for you these days?

Thank you DIANA42 for thinking of me.

Got some great news today!!! I can go back to Curves whenever I want to start again...unfortually(hehe) That also means I get to go back to work too. Go back on Monday the 15th of Aug. Hubby thinks I should have gone back tomorrow (Thursday) but I still need the vacation time if you know what I mean

Glad to hear from you. How long do you think it will be till you can go back to Curves? I lost 5.5 pounds from 6/7 to 7/7, my 2nd month there. Of course, I'd joined the SparkPeople during that month. I hope you have a speedy recovery, Kay.

Hi Everyone!!!

Just reading some of the posts on the different discussions and found this one to be interesting.
I too belong to Curves but when I am working I get to go about 2 times a week (work 4/10 hr days.)At least I did before becoming ill and having my surgery. But I hope as soon as the Dr clears me I can start going back again. Miss the workouts and how they made me feel.

It is good to see all the great information here on the site.

See ya lighter!!!!

Diana,

Yes, you can edit it any time. I was looking at mine and it can stand some beefing up. Just not sure how much info I really want to put in it yet. Also, if you start a community journal, it will automatically create a link in your profile to your journal.

I held off for awhile before I started my community journal. Unfortunately I don't have a link to mine because I created it originally under a different user name.

You're doing great with the emoticons. In the SparkPeople Cafe Forum, there's a thread called "Show how you feel with emoticons". You might want to take a look at that. Some people are quite creative with writing with them. I'm not very good so I haven't really posted on that thread. I just like reading it.

Have a great evening.

Thanks for the help, Pam. I've been writing that darn profile in my head for the last two days! I'll get it up soon. I agree, it will help. I can edit it later, can't I? (Practicing my emoticons!)

Oh -- something else I just thought of. I know you are probably still learning a lot about the site and how all the tools work. But, I'd like to encourage you to do a profile. Even if you don't put much in it, it helps people to get to know you a little better. And you don't have to keep reintroducing yourself as you post on the different threads.

Diana,

Just wanted to say welcome to SP. It's never too late to start getting healthy, is it. I'm not quite 50 -- will be in January.

I spent my first two or three weeks asking all kinds of questions. One of them had to do with the edit button. After posting I could see the edit button for my name but no one else's. I wasn't sure if anyone else could see the edit button for me or not. I thought maybe I had set my profile up wrong or something. So I posted a question and got a quick answer. That's one of the things I like about the site -- quick responses from the support team. So keep asking.

Oh! Thank you very much. Now I understand. It never hurts to ask questions. When I do, I always learn something new. Diana42

Diana,

Can you see any of the pictures to choose one? Once you choose it, it will be html in your message. But then when you post it, it will be the picture again (like your last post was- I see a picture).

Jen, When I click on the Emoticon, I get letters and numbers. Maybe it's a setting on my computer or something. Yuck. Diana Example:

Hi Diana,

Welcome! I am 52 and love Spark People. It helps me a lot and make me accountable. The resident expers are great! Most of them have been there and are very knowledgeable.

Hi Diana!

You should be able to click "add an emoticon" and select the one you want. Sometimes they take second to load (depending on how fast your computer is), but you don't need any specific program to use them.

Let me know if you're still having problems!

I've gone and done it. I didn't like my CONEJO user name, so I changed it. I'm still the same sweet loveable person though. Tee, hee. Ican't get the Emoticons to work. ANy suggestions?

I joined SparkPeople on Tuesday and have been wading my way through all of the material. In one month I will be 66, so I guess I'm eligible for this group! I go to Curves 3 times a week and am seeing some results. Hope to hear from some of you.
