As important as it is to get the sodium down, its also important to get the potassium, magnesium, and calcium UP. My eating plan is a modified DASH, since more protein can also help with the blood pressure. Through weight loss, modified DASH diet and exercise, I've got my systolic pressure down about 40 points and no longer need to take medication.

While shopping for healthy choices to eat I noticed, when checking the label's on most of the product's I thought that was suppose to be good for me, wasn't. To my surprise, I've learned NOW to check the label's VERY CAREFULLY!!!!!!! I have high blood pressure and sodium would not be a good idea to add to my diet. Especially after deciding to change my diet and getting back to the exercise mode again. Added weight gain's has, diagnosed with type 2 diabete's, I think lifestyle change's is in my added agenda.
