The fact you are aware and acknowledge this is something you want to change is the first step to changing it. It works for me to replace bad habits with new healthy ones. Somethings you could try instead would be to drink water, do some breathing exercises, some yoga, some relaxation exercise, journal entries or quiet meditation. Maybe others who do this have ideas?

I don't know if it is an eating disorder or not. It is definatly a habit. I know several people in our age group that eat in the middle of the night. Guess it is because we don't sleep as well as we used to so we have to do something to fill the time. Sounds good to me anyway. I am awake, cleaning my room and want to munch. I'm not hungry, just want to graze. Hope someone can find an answer Diane

To the 50 group I have a habit of eating in the middle of the night. I don't understand why I do it . I believe this is a eating disorder . Can you give me some advice.
