Happy Easter/et al to everyone - my goals for today are for it to be a healthy one - I intend to walk on the treadmill, do another form of exercise, too (bike, garden, mow - oh my - maybe all three?), and watch what goes in my mouth. Good luck, everyone and have a great week. Linda

My goal is to enjoy Easter with my family. I will also try to stay as true to my diet as possible. I have worked to hard to do otherwise. Happy Easter everyone.

How are things going for everyone? Any one have a specific goal for the Easter/Passover/Welcome Spring weekend? I want to eat more veggies and fruits than sweets (although Sugar-Free Peeps have become my favorite treat this season) - and make sure I still exercise. Enjoy! Linda

I think many of us have similar goals - mine is to bring my weight down to a manageable level and work on my blood pressure. stress and a rough fall contributed to about a 20# gain - which pushed my blood pressure up too high. March has been a great month for me - I'm slowly getting very used to exercising, and even scheduling it in - this week I've been on spring break and used it for "Camp Me" - focusing on myself for a change - it's working!! You add the weight bar on your page - good luck! Linda

| hello I`m also new here .It looks great if I can figure out how to use all of it lol I also have gained over 50[+] lbs since I quit smoking .And I was having a hard time starting to buckle down and lose it but I think this is just what I need . How did you get that weight line at the bottom of your post?

| Hi everyone, I am new to the board also. I am 54 and more than 50 pounds overweight. I blame menopause and quit smoking, but the truth is I gave up and let myself go. I am an emotional eater, eat for pleasure and boredom. I am trying to change my bad habits and get back into walking again. I have a hard time making myself stay on the treadmill for longer than 10 minutes at a time, but have progressed to 45 minutes a day. As soon as the weather is warmer I will walk outdoors, my goal is an hour a day.

| Camp ME is working pretty well - here I am up before dawn, getting ready to go walk on the treadmill - if only I can continue this next week when I go back to school. I think getting my life in balance can only help - it's tough, but I think I can do it. Linda

Hi everyone - I'm 54 and working on losing the 20 pounds or so I gained since last fall. I've realized that I am a stress eater and tend not to exercise when I'm really stressed out, so I'm working on both of those factors this spring. My goal is to lose at least 20 pounds and be healthier. This week is spring break for me, so I'm using it to have a "Camp Me" - and only concentrating on figuring out how to work this to my advantage. Good luck this week everyone - Linda

thanks for the encouragement. I am training to walk in the 3-Day breast cancer walk in Cleveland OH in August. My husband and I both participate - he works as a crew member and I walk. this year, it should be easier to do the walk if I am a lot lighter!

| Hi! and Welcome! I'm 53 and have been doing this since Dec 15, 06. I've lost 13 pounds and changed the shape of my body - a lot! I love this site. There is encouragement and I rely on the food tracking. It's really helped me. I'm eating healthy and exercising NOT just DIETING. My mindset has changed, so my eating habits have too. Good luck!

Hi, Welcome to the fit over 50 group. I joined Sparkpeople in Jan. 07. With the help of this site I have lost 12 pounds so far. The first couple of weeks I just tried to find my way around. I have had alot of encouragement from other people. This site is great, its hard to believe it is free. Best of luck to you. Betty

Hi I wanted to introduce myself. I just joined last week and am still finding my way around the site. I had always thought I was "fit" until I gained around 20 pounds in the last year and my clothes no longer fit. A friend mentioned this site and, here I am. I am trying to keep to the plan, but darn those Girl Scouts and their delicious cookies. looking forward to losing the weight and learning to control my cravings for SUGAR
