Thank you all for the support - that is what I need and hopefully I can do the same for everyone else. Today was my weigh in day and I lost 2.2# so I have about another 10 to go. Then I will begin maintaining which I know will be hard. Has anyone heard of Leslie Sansone - Walk the Pounds Away - that is the exercise program I mainly use and I LOVE IT!! Hope everyone has a great day!

Hi Lemenm: It sounds to me that if you have lost 53 lbs. so far, you have done very well. And although I don't know how much you want to lose, you have had a great start. For me it is not really that hard to lose the weight, the hardest part is to continue on with the progress. At times it is so easy to give in and just say "to hell with it", but I know what is best, what is right. I also know that no-one will do this for me, and if I want to live longer I must live healthier, so by being truely honest with myself about what and when I eat, I do the right thing for me. I don't give-in to that extra piece of chicken or pizza, you are the only one that can control you. I believe I can not control anyone but myself, as I am sure you know, only you can control you.

Hi everyone - I am new to sparkpeople and I'm hoping that this will be my answer to getting through these last pounds. I have always been a yo,yo dieter but when I saw 50 approaching ( this July) and started going through my change I knew I had to get this weight off. I had gotten to be the heaviest I have ever been and started to get really depressed. It has been a year and so far I have lost 53#. It has been a very hard journey for me but I decided not to rush it and actually make changes to how I lived - not just to diet. I still struggle and get very frustrated since it is so hard to even lose 1# a week. I look forward to meeting you all and if I can ever help you - please let me know!
