I know what you mean about the two different numbers for calories burned. My treadmill does that to. I prefer to go with the lower of the numbers. I figure it is better to do to much rather than not enough. I am ready for spring to. We are in the 20's and 30's, but it is still to cold to get out and do anything. Let me know if you loose that pound

Hey everyone! I challenged myself to try and work off 3500 calories by my recumbant bike odometer. I started on Tuesday and today I have 2712. Now I've heard these odometers aren't accurate because they don't take in to consideration your body weight. But when I plugged my time in on the fitness thingy here, it read a lot more than what the dern bike says. So instead of the 2712 that the bike says, I could well have over my 3500 but just to be on the safe side, I'm still riding. I'm averaging about 540 calories a day. So far I have rode almost 50 miles. So, after I get to my 3500 calories, do you think I'll lose a pound? Sure feels like I should lose more than that! But I sit all day at work so it feels good to do some activity. Time wise, it's taken me 4 hours and 41 minutes. So, that was my fitness thingy for this week. I think next week I'll do some walking videos. I'm ready for spring. They say we are going to be around 7 degrees Monday and Tuesday here in Maryland..BRRRRR. I'm ready for spring! LadyFisch
