47LUCAN Thank you!

Cheering everyone on feels good! It keeps me mindful in the maintenance my own healthy lifestyle. Perhaps it is a synergy thing.

Hi WATERJEN, I am also using the tests on nutrition to learn. I am happy for another successful day of my new lifestyle. We were out of town and had to eat out. I stuck to my plan at Ryans which is a steak house. No problems turning down butter rolls, baked potatoes. Just ate a 5 oz sirloin and veg bar. YEAH!!!!!!!!

Hi Jaylynn -

No, I'm not following the mealplans. I read the articles on Spark and am focusing on being more aware of what I'm eating and getting more fruit and veg. I also love being able to check off my exercises - it's really motivating!

Welcome!

47LUCAN Congratulations,
It is sort of surprising how every single pound loss feels like a celebration doesn't it!
Keep up the good work!

I think the tracker is great! I have only been at this for a week, but I have lost a pound. I was surprised to see me food choices have turned out to be right in line with the pie chart for my goals on the planning page. If I cant think of what to eat, I can always open the diet plan.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like everyone is basically working out the foods and weight loss program that is best for them. This site has plenty of resources for sure. I feel if I lose 10 pounds a month I will do well.

JALYNN Hello and Thank You,
It took me 10 months to lose the weight and now I am maintainging for just over 3 years. It sounds like the sonoma diet is much like I already eat. Interesting.

Kenwife, I totally agree with your statement,"I think that everyone has to follow a diet that works for their life style."

I think that everyone has to follow a diet that works for their life style. I count calories because I like variety and that works for me. Whatever you do you need to be able to live on it for the rest of your life, or you will end up right back where you started from. I think that is the most important thing.

Rebcca, you are doing great! How long has it taken you to get this far along? On the Sonoma it is whole grains, no white bread or rice or potatoes, lots of veg, 2 fruit a day. If you like olive oil, and garlic this is a winner.

I make up my own meals, as I eat the foods that my naturopath recommends as well as following food combining rules. (Whole grains, fruit, vegetables, etc and no processed food)
The important thing is to stay within your nutrient ranges, drink water and exercise.
I am not familar with the Sonoma Diet.
SP is a great place to learn more about good nutrition, healthy habits and living a generally more enriching life.
Welcome aboard!

Hi Everyone, I am on the sonoma diet and have lost 11 pounds since Dec 27th. I love the diet but their website costs and it is nowhere near as exciting as this site. Does everyone have their own diet plan or stick closely to meal plans given here?
