Hi Northgat44, When did you start on Spark People? I have heard that you want to lose the weight very slowly. No more than 2 lbs a week. So if you have lost 8 lbs all ready than you are doing good. Keep up the good work. You are doing much better than me. Take-Care

For me, it seems that tracking is the key - I went way off track this fall with an incredible work overload and it's had awful results - BUT - the good news is that just a few days back with SP and it seems to be turning around.

Well you have found the right site to help you lose those 30 lbs. You have motivation and if you follow the steps here you will do it. We will all stick together through the holidays as this is the hardest time to try and stay on track.. Glad you have come here well in advance and I am sure you will hit your goal by wedding time.

Congratulations on your 8 lb weight loss.

I know only to well how slow going weight loss can be...it seemed like I put the weight on overnight and it's taken weeks for me to lose 3lbs.

I keep reminding myself slow and steady wins the race.

I want to lose 30 pounds by June 2007 (my daughter's wedding. I do not want to be the fat mother of the bride with pudgy arms, fat face, and stomach bulging. I have lost 8 pounds by eating healthy (avoiding white bread and pasta), in two months. Hopefully I will continue to lose. SLOW GOING here! :o(
