Thank you all for the kind welcome last week. This is such a positive and informative group...just what I needed.

Well...the weekend has been a challenge. I had an event yesterday, and a potluck last night, and made homemade Egg Fu Yung for honey for breakfast. We can't find the Chinese food we are used to here, and I've been experimenting. The sauce was okay, but still not there yet. Big difference in food from Boston to Fort Bragg. You would have thunk I'd get smaller not bigger since we moved here about ten years ago.

Anyway...for the potluck, I brought a lowfat, hi veggie, chicken rice pilaf that was pretty good. I would have used more spices, but wanted people to eat it. Everyone loved it, but still had leftovers, so I packaged it in one serving baggies and threw it in the freezer. If anyone wants the recipe, let me know. I just made it up last night, but it was good.

Tonight, I'm sticking to a salad. I took yesterday and today off from exercise to rest my hip...I think I pulled it last week. Seems better now, so I'll get back on track tomorrow.

Looking forward to a good week and chatting with all of you.
