You have the right idea in keeping exercise equipment in sight to remind you. It worked for me to decide that I was able to form bad habits so forming good ones could happen too. Motivate consistency by seeing how many consecutive days you take a walk, make good choices only etc.
You can do this!

Mirbah: Thank you so much for the welcome. Yes, getting my energy back is important. As I write this, I am trying to talk myself into my strength training excercises. I'm already an hour behind. I do it at home, not always a good idea. If anything keeps me on the path, I sincerely believe this site will, and I need to understand it isn't going to happen overnight. I spend quite abit of time in this site with the articles and such. So much info in one place. Ok, got to go, my dumbbells are staring at me. Thanks again for the welcome.
respectfully,
Lady J

Lady J,
Welcome to SparkPeople. It is a great site with lots of interesting and helpful people. I am not the person to cheer you on about food. I didn't do so well myself this week.

Use all the info on site. It is helpful and it is great to see everything going down. I defintely understand about belly fat. Mine is getting smaller but for me it is more important to have the eneregy and stamina to do the things I want to do.

Have a good time.

Hello everyone. I am happy to see there are women out there my age doing the same battle I am. I am 60 and feel like I am 80+. I discovered this site accidently on 10/20. I started off well, but the last few days - not so good. Doing my excercises and walks but can't keep from wrapping my mouth around no no's. I know I will get it back in control (Ihope) . Belly Fat!!! Do I know belly fat. Besides the hugemongous cellulite in the thighs, the belly makes me cry the most. What happened and when? Don't know. I see the posts regarding dairy? I must look into that. Need big time help in that area. I think when I was pregnant I had a smaller stomach. Any how just wanted to say hi, and drop in ever so often.
respectfully
Lady J
