Hi EA, and welcome!!!. I joined 2 weeks ago and I learn something new every day. You can get points from lots of places - posting messages, reading articles and e-mails, completing "other goals". They don't take long to add up. The first ones you get every day are from spinning the wheel on your SparkPoints page.
Good luck with your goals.
By the way,I'm in Ontario, just north of Toronto.

I'm not new to the site but would like to say Hi to all the new people. Looking to see where people are from is great - Canada, although it looks large, really isn't all that big when you think about the connections people have with places and knowing people all over. I live in Dryden which is in NWO fairly close (okay, about 3 hours) from the Manitoba border. Fort Frances,Thunder Bay, La Vallee and Atikokan are former places I've lived and all are in NWOntario too. Interesting to note that there are people all over Ontario, all over Canada, all over North America and the world who are all in the same boat weight wise - and we can all come together on this wonderful website to share things.

| Hi all ... I have a great friend who came from Calgary many years ago, been to Toronto, Windsor and I'm hooked on the re-runs of Da Vinci's Inquest filmed in Vancouver. This is end of day 3 for me. It's 10:14 PM and I am hungry but determined. I like this program ... haven't checked out the "points" part of the site although I seemed to have accumulated some. How is it going for you? EA

Wow...sometimes it is such a small world! I said Shuswap because I lived out there for several years (1991 - 2001) before moving to Edmonton. It just so happens I had a house half way between Blind Bay and Sorrento.
Before living out there, I lived in Salmon Arm...
(1972 - 1991) graduated from the high school there.

Good morning girls! Just thought I'd say hello to my fellow Canucks. I'm in Ontario, just north of Toronto. My niece lives in High River. Never been out there, but I know how beautiful it is from her photos.

| Who is your friend. I know alot of people in CR . I have an eagle tree in my back yard and get to watch eagles all day. They have a baby that we can't wait to see fly.My hubby was born in Edmonton. His Mom lived in Sherwood park for a while. My folks and Aunt and Uncle lived in Blind Bay and Salmon Arm.

I have really good friend who used to live in Campbell River..now she lives in Edmonton...LOL!
I live east of Sherwood park actually...in Beaver County. About 10km west of Tofield. Out in the sticks.
I have a pond in my backyard with a live beaver lodge, so I get to watch all kinds of wildlife right out my office window. It is great.
I am a transplanted BC'r! I am originally from the Shuswap, and moved here for work.

I now have two goals in one. To reach my goal weight in 6 months and to become a community member at the same time!
This is a great site and I believe I will do things for my weight and overall good health like I never have before!

I have just joined also and believe it to be a good program. I like the flexibility of the program. I'm in Florida and 64 years young. This is my first chat experience. I lean much more toward private person than chat room person but I believe this will help keep me "honest" and on track. I have quite a ways to go, have tried a number of things and don't want to waste any more time ...

I have just joined SparkPeople...and quite love the entire concept!
It is nice to be able to be in touch with people from all over the place...with similar problems and similar goals.
I am from a small community a few miles East of Edmonton, Alberta. I am 50 years young and have decided that I want to get back in my groove.
