Hi Letitia,
Proud Scots descendent here-what do you expect with a name like Bonnie!!!!
We are all here for you, I know how hard it is when you feel all alone, or embarassed, cause you think you should be in control. We all have our issues, but with this plan and each other to lean on , we can do it. "Lean on me, when you're not strong"

I feel like I am 2/3 of the way there. I am drinking my water, which has made breathing easier. And I am now exercising regularly, which makes some of my physical problems easier to deal with-go figure, huh??? But I still know that I do not have my eating under control, and I am working on the issues/challenges that keep me from succeeding. I also know it is not going to be an overnight fix--patience, time, contemplation, and sharing with both my friends here in the "real" world and on-line are going to be the keys to my success. Just when I think I have the snakes beat down, more of them rear their ugly heads!!!(apologies to any snake lovers-shiver-I'm not one!!!)

Blessings to you on your journey,
Bonnie

Hi Letitia - hope you're have an okay week -this summer I decided I would take control of some of the things I could in my life, and make it better. This past year I gained at least 10 pounds and by the beginning of June I was determined that I would not start the next school year where I ended the last one - unable to fit into some of my favorite clothes and definitely out of shape physically.
So - I started with great determination, and I'm seeing results and coming to peace with the fact that it won't happen over night, and that I am the one in charge of this effort. I had also had some medical tests that sent up red flags to my cardiologist and myself.
Four weeks later I feel so much better - I'm walking every day, working outside in my yard/garden every day, looking for new ways to get cardio exercise and I've learned to focus on nutrition and be careful about what I eat - I'm pretty short (under 5'4"), so I was eating way too much food for my size.
So - good luck to you, and I hope whatever you decide to do this week works for you - LindaK

thank u for ur reply, i am a professional person and therefore find it abit scary to go public with this i feel i am in control for the moment my problem stems from emotional trauma and last untill i sort that out, once sorted i usually mend completely. this has only happened twice in my life, death of first husband, and affair discovery of second husband. at the moment i feel recovered but am so worried about my health and my size. anyway thanks again for yr time bye letitia.

Welcome - don't feel like the "odd girl out"! I think everyone feels the same as you occasionally - and some of us more often!

There are lots of people on Spark to get support from in regard to your eating disorder - whatever it may be. I am a real stress/emotion eater and I am still struggling with it. Most everyone is very kind.

I'm a bit of a recluse myself and sometimes have to force myself to post in order to receive the support I need. I live in a small rural area in the states and spend quite alot of time talking to my dogs and horses - am sometimes a bit lacking in social skills these days! I also have cats, step daughters, and grandchildren, am Scot's Irish.

I hope you find what you need here at Spark and please feel free to email me if you need extra support from someone who is a bit of a loner as well...

L,

Are you seeking professional help for your eating disorder? I would highly recommend it b/c it really can help.

In the Other Groups forum is an Eating Disorders Support Group that you might want to check out.

Hope that helps!
