Yesterday, I finally made my 8 glasses + 1. I would say, Keep pushing to the 8. Remember, fruits and vegetables figure into your total calorie intake for the day. Have a great day, I have to leave now, softball. Hope to hear from you again, Adele

You know there is water in many fruits and vegetables and their juices...and they count toward your water for the day. But try to get in at least some pure water. I doctor mine with lemon, Crystal Light, etc.......Cheri

Hi, Fitness. Thanks for the idea of water on the counter. My challenge is I live in my car 5 days out of the week. have own contracting business with my husband and things are always forgotten or needed,so I'm constantly driving. water in the car worked too! Since I'm fairly new to sparks maybe you could answer this for me. When I exercise do I have to do it all together or can I do a few minutes here and there? Thanks for your help! Adele

I like water but found it very hard to remember to drink it. I have discovered that if I have a large glass on my desk at work and whenever I go to ladies, go to other end of office, or coffee pot I make myself go by the water and fill the glass, then I set it nearby. I almost always find it empty by next time to take a walk. When I forget to fill the glass, I struggle to get 8 glasses in.
I also try to keep a glass on kitchen counter when at home to remind me there. Whenever the glass is empty I make myself fill it. If I don't I don't drink.

Thanks for the ideas! I tried flavored water but let it go flat 1st. Also, drank most of it in the car and every time I went to the bathroom. Managed 7 so far. Again, thanks for your help. Adele

Adele, I too hate water and I have foubd that most days I can get 6 in but thats about it, I drink crystal light which has some great flavors, tea works, and coffee too ( just make sure it's decaf), also some of the flavored waters are good, make sure they are 10 calories or less or you'll be adding too many, I also have sliced up lemons and squeezed lemon in the water, plus I make sure it's room temp. Hope these are a few ideas yu can use

Well, I'm a baby brand new to this whole thing and I really want to succeed. Anyone who could help me figure out a way to drink (yuck) 8 glasses of water in a 24 hour period ( the best I have done is 5), your advice would be greatly appreciated. My life is hectic and uncontrolable some days because of our contracting business and eating on a scheduel and exercising regularly is impossible at best.
