I've not tried this "Chile popcorn" recipe but it looks good and it might satisfy the need for crunchies:

I'm also one of those people that need the crunch.

The 100 calorie bags of popcorn are good. I found Kettle Corn in the 100 calorie bags at Wal-Marts this week. I like the sweet/salt combo.

Sometimes I treat myself to a Diet Root Beer Float. No calories in Diet Pop. A 1/2 cup is a portion of ice cream, but sometimes I only use 1/4 cup of a low fat ice cream, then just keep adding the Root Beer.

Hi

I like mixed nuts a lot, so I usually measure out 1/4 cup of them and eat them one at a time. This way I can still enjoy them!

You have a food plan, so I would build in a snack at night. Something filling that you really like. But it is part of your food plan, so it is not "cheating."

This is a lifestyle change, not a diet.

Deb, I also like nuts, especially almonds. But I buy ones in the shell so I have to work to eat them. I eat as I crack them, so after I've had 10 or twelve, over several minutes,I seem to be satisfied. I have to fool myself with games.LOL!

Auntbea's suggestion about the water is very good.
Carrots and apples are crunchy

I think I have the answer here to all our problems. My husband is on this diet with me. We agreed to monitor each other. Once we promise each other we keep that promise. Love helps. Barbara rn

hey there thanks for your reply. I am new at this site and really do not know how to work it well. I do have fruit and water, but it is the crunch that I need like nuts, chips, etc. thanks again.

I am guessing that you allready had dinner and you are eating at 9:30 pm.

Drink two glasses of water, may be have an apple or an orange.

Find something to do, with your hands. Knit or color, read.

I had to big of a breakfast. But it will be dinner time before I get home. May be it will keep me from eating fast food.
Drank water to take my meds.

Had 2 eggs and bunch of tater tots.

I've had this problem in the past, so I can understand.
This is what I did:
1. Got rid of all the junk foods that are packed with bad carbs so I won't be tempted.
2. Make sure to get enough protein in the evening meal so that I don't feel hungry. I also have lots of veggies so that I'm full when if finish.
3. Have bell pepper, tomato wedges, celery and carrot sticks to munch on if I relapse. They are low calorie and won't impact your weight.

I hope this helps.
