The best thing you can do is track all of your food- then you'll know for sure what areas you need to focus on. You said that you think you're too low on protein, so it would help to focus on getting healthy sources of protein into your diet. Here's some info that might help:

I'm not trying to eat less calories, but it just happened that way. I guess I need to add more meat and lite wheat bread to my diet. I wanted to give up junk food and sweets. Is that bad or do I need a little sugar in my diet? I feel very tired and my stomach does hurt. I don't want to do anything to hurt my body at all. I need all the advice I can get. Thanks

Shaga,
It's not a good idea to go under your recommended calorie range on a regular basis. So you should be eating at least 1200 calories per day for a few reasons. One is that it's hard to get all of the nutrients your body needs by eating under 1200 daily. The second reason is that eating less than you should will actually hurt instead of help your weight loss efforts.
When your body is not getting enough of what it needs, it starts holding onto everything you give it. When this happens (called starvation mode), you stop losing weight or can even start gaining weight. A lot of people have the idea that "the less I eat, the faster I will lose", but that's not necessarily true.
Hope that helps! Let me know if you have more questions!

| I'm a picky eater for starters. I'm beginning my 2nd week and I have lost 2 pounds, but I don't think I'm getting enough protein. I've never been on a diet or healthy eating before so this is all new to me. I need to lose around 18 pounds. The first week I only ate around 900 calories and I'm feeling weak. Do I need to eat a little more? Thanks for your help.
