Thanks everyone for the nice welcome. I have about 65 lbs to lose to be at a healthy weight and so far all the encouragement I've read on the boards is very motivating. Wish I'd joined sooner. Over the next 50 days I plan to stay around 1300 calories a day and will journal everything. I want to see how much I can lose from July 1st til August 20th (my birthday). If I see where I'm losing well without any major problems I'll continue in this way til I have all the weight off. Due to a hairline fracture of my right ankle, walking or any exercise that involves using my right foot has been difficult, but I'm going to do floor exercises if nothing else. Wish me luck everyone.
