So how is the week going for everyone? I'm glad I'm off for part of the summer so I can tackle this with a lot more control over what's happening in the day to day reality.
Right now I'm trying to decide how to reward myself - I know I'll think of something!

Hi All - A loss of 25 pounds would make me so happy - I'm about 25-30 pounds overweight and feeling it at almost 56. This summer, I am going to be the focus of a lot of my efforts - woo woo!
My first goal is to get below 165# and drop my body fat % - even just 1%.
My recording day is Sunday.
Good luck to all and have a happy weekend.

I am also just like you Sharon. I'm Connie and just turned 50 this yr. I don't trust my scales because they are always different. Never weight the same at all. I do know I weigh betweem 165 and 170, and i'm only 5'!!! If you have any suggestions I would love to hear them. And I should do what you suggest, eat only when hungry. I eat not to get hungry. My e-mail is bcmay1978@yahoo.com E-mail me and we'll talk more. THANKS!!!

I have been staying the same most weeks. I know it is better than gaining but I still have more to lose. We (6 from my chapter) are going to PRD (Provincial Recognition Days - I am in Ontario, Canada) next week. I usually get 'pumped' at PRD. I am hoping it works this year too.

It sounds like we could start a team of our own.

Hi Sharon,

I wish you success with losing 25 pounds. Your approach sounds good. I have a few more pounds to lose than you do. I am still trying to figure out the best plan for me.

I'm new to SparkPeople. I'm a 50 year old woman who wants to release about 25 pounds FOR GOOD. But I don't want to "diet." I want to follow the "Thin Within" guidelines to losing weight, i.e. Eat only when my body is hungry; eat in a calm environment sitting down; eat when relaxed; only eat what my body loves, pay attention just to food while eating; eat slowly savoring each bite and stop eating before my body is full, when I am satisfied. I tried this approach years ago, when it was being promoted by Judy Wardell, and it really worked for me mixed with daily exercise. So if there is a woman out there who has a similar weight goal and weight-loss approach, I'd love to hear from you. I live in Marin County, California. Thanks
