I will never give up No matter what the odds are No matter what people say No matter how far I will never give up
If I throw it away time after time If I am one step behind try after try If I miss dime after dime I will never give up
Even when it seems all over Even when no one else believes Even when it seems I can go no further I will never give up
For I know I have strength within For I know I can persevere For I know that I can win I will never give up
Because it's someone else's fault Because I am settling for good enough Because I fear that I will fall short I will never give up
There is so much I can still do There is too much talent to waste There is so much in me that I want you to see I will never give up
Why squander all of my hard work and dedication Why not show the world that I am a fearless baller Why quit when I still have the oppo rtunity to go on I will never give up
If I do, I will not be the best me that could live If I do, I will never know what I am capable of If I do, I am not giving the world all I can give I will never give up

Hi, it is sad when we lose someone we care about, but if she is your motivational factor, then her death will not be in vain. Perhaps once you get in shape and start living a healthy lifestyle you can raise your glass in honor of your friend and thank her for setting you on the right path!
Good luck and you will find a lot of support here.

| I am so sorry about your friend too. Sometimes those tragedies can bring something good when we allow it, getting in shape is sometime beauty that rises from the ashes we sometimes find our self in. Hope you are doing OK.

| Sorry to hear about your friend. I am 53 and I just lost a friend who was 57 and died suddenly of a heart attack two weeks ago. I decided that i needed to get into better shape and this program is a good one. I am just getting used to the message boards and I am liking it very much. Hope you feel better soon.

I have never been on a message board before. I decided to finally get serious about losing weight, getting fit and healthy. I am 53, born in Feb 1955 and currently live in north MT. I moved here to be by my friend about 1 year ago. Last Monday she died suddenly, heart failure. Her funeral is Saturday - tomorrow and I am going to get healthy and quit smoking. It is for me, but she is my motivation. I'll write more again. Nice to meet everyone.
