Hi DOTSLADY,
We're looking into your first two issues. To answer the questions from your edit - Yes, you can edit foods you've shared previously. It will not include the changes you make for people that have already imported the foods, but will for people importing them in the future.
Thanks,
Jeremy

(I'd like a "clapping hands" or "applause" emoticon!) :)
THANKS so much -- this is very helpful. Two things:
1. Need to correct how "protein" is spelled on the import page,
2. I tried importing some tea from Sun_Clay and I got a message that said NO FOODS IMPORTED. (The first time, I used the top "import foods" button and got brought back to the same page. The second time I used the bottom "import foods" button and got that msg). I haven't tried anything else. Just reporting.
Thanks again! I've already posted to the group how this is helpful!
Just like me to edit: I have another question. Can I edit already shared foods? What happens if I go back and edit my favorites entries to include the words "gluten free" ... will it change the already shared entry?

Actually, they made this change today. So you can now search by username.
Thanks!

I'm not sure the new importing/exporting food idea is workable for my group's needs. Help me understand. It was very helpful for me to be able to share my "favorites" with newbies to our Celiac Disease and Gluten-Free group. Most people are overwhelmed with their diagnosis and then to have to manually enter all these special dietary foods can take even more of their energy - so it was GREAT we could share.
NOW, however, I find that I shared my foods before I realized I should have used the term "gluten-free" in the description. And even that doesn't matter, as when I go to look for what I shared, it doesn't even come up. A short, one-page "recently added" list comes up.
A newbie to the diet would not know what foods to be looking for. Therefore, searching for "recently added" or "times imported" is not very helpful either. It seems rather hit or miss. I'm sure others in my group have downloaded/shared entries, but only one page shows up after putting a query into the search field for "gluten free."
What about adding a search for a Sparkperson's shared entries in the dropdown menu? Could that be added? Just an idea.
I'm rewriting my team letter to newbies because of this change, and would like to be able to tell them about this new feature -- but it's not comprehensive enough as it is. Unless I'm missing something. HELP!
