Thanks so much! I eat 5-6 smaller meals a day and it always looked strange having so many foods listed under the snack category. This is great!

PEA_NEL_OPE,

YOu can add 6 new meals and put them in the order that you like and ignore the standard ones. Log in your 6 new meals.

I added
MY BREAKFAST
MID MORNING SNACK
MY LUNCH
MID AFTERNOON SNACK
MY DINNER
BEFORE BED

six meals. I just ignore the standard breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack that is in there. Well, I guess if you use sparkpeople diet, it doesn't really help. But I always log in my food and I'm going to use the meals that I added and leave the standard ones empty.

I was so excited to read about this!

However, until you can drag in between things that are already there (like being able to put a snack between breakfast and lunch) it doesn't really do much good. Hopefully this can be added in the future.

Thanks for all the continuing improvements--this site gets better and better all the time!

Yes, you can drag and drop only the meals you added.
I added:

MY breakfast
midmorning snack
My lunch
midafternoon snack
my dinner
before bed

so, I meals are in order.

Thank you, thank you for the new feature! It is just what I needed! Also, thanks for the clue about the "dragging" part of it. I was trying to put new categories in between the ones that were already there.

Yep, that's correct. I also just learned that you can only change the order of the categories you've added- you can't drag a new category up in between the ones that were already there.

Hope that helps!

I got it to work... I was trying to drag in the nutrition page, but I found that I have to do it in the edit screen...my fault!

We're checking into the "dragging" problem. Thanks, everyone!

I added two new categories, but have not been able to change their order at the bottom of the nutrition page. The 'drag' feature doesn't seem to be working for me either.

I love this feature, thank you!! But you cannot drag and change the order. I reported it in the tech site.

Fabulous! I've been waiting for this -- thank you SO much!

I do seem to be having trouble with the 'dragging the catagory to where you want it' part. Any hints?

Hi Everyone!

We launched a new enhancement today on your nutrition tracker, based on feedback from our members. You can now add extra meal categories for tracking food. We're assuming most people will use this to add extra snacks, but you can now customize it to meet your needs.

To add new categories:
1) Go to your myNutrition page
2) At the bottom of your day's entries, click the button that reads "Add/Edit My Extra Meal Categories"
3) You can then click to add a new category, and type in any name that you'd like (Snack 2, Mid-morning Snack, Morning Break, etc)

After adding a new category, you can edit or delete the categories, plus you can drag them to the place where you'd like them to be on the page.

We hope this makes the food tracker an even better tool to help you learn to eat better and reach your health goals!

Coach Jen
