| When I started, I had lots of nutrition labels sitting beside me at the computer! Now, they're in my Nutrition Tracker as faves and I don't have to do so much work. I've also used the Nutrition Tracker before going to a restaurant to see what fits in my caloric and fat and protein totals. I love being able to add - and the fact that what other folks have added are available to me as well! Thanks to everybody who has taken the time to enter stuff. Oh, and if you have a favorite recipe, the Sparks recipes site will let you enter all the ingredients and it'll figure out all the nutritional info for you. Another lifesaver, in my humble opinion.

| I sometimes just use foods that are similar and just adjust the quantities until the calories are similar.

"Luan in pa - you don't need to be so sarcastic. It was just a question from someone who is new to this site and hopefully it will help others who are new"
No sarcasm at all!
I was just answering your question; no need to be so defensive. All questions are good questions!

| Levcovich1313...do you have the web address for the site you like? I have a local favorite spot for soup (tortilla). They are not a chain restaurant, so nutritional information is not available. Wonder how much fat is in the crispy tortilla strips?

| I also did a search for a calorie counting web site for some comercial foods not listed and then entered them manually.

| I add my own foods in and just add them to my favorites so I don't have to keep searching for them. It gets easier after a while.

| You will find it gets easier over time and less a bother. I add foods to my Favorite Foods list and it helps alot. Don't get frustrated.

|
| I have to enter my own foods, leaning how to figure out portion size, calorie count, nutrition info.... like a job

Well, yeah! Every food on the planet isn't going to be there. I have had to enter dozens of foods that I eat.

Is anyone else having a problem finding certain foodon the nutrition tracker.
I have run into a few times where I list a food and it isn't on their and I have to find something comparable in calories or I have to add it myself
