Thank God for my friends here at Sparkpeople. I have started process to go for elective Bariatric Surgery. I'm waiting on the insurance approval and that should be coming soon I pray. I must choose between the lap band or a gastric by-pass, not sure which would be better for my pitcular body type. but will make decision at futuristic appointments, have not been scheduled as of yet. I have another appointment on 2-26-08 to meet with a thyroid specialist as they have found nodules on the thyroid. Well if there is any one out there that is interested in being apart of this type of a forum and has input, I welcome you, I'd love to hear of other stories, and be an encouragement to each other.
I have been yoyo dieting for over 40 years. The last year I have developed many health concerns and do not want to go before my time. My husband does not understand my reasoning for the surgery, but he will support me, I'm sure of that and I know he will appreaciate me more,for it afterwards. I just know that I have a very long-long list of reasons why I should get this done. Anyone out there with me on this one.
