I agree we are not suppose to be selling.
Other than that different strokes for different folks. Find a team that fits your needs!
If you can't ignore what you don't like find somewhere else.

This place is a buffet of different opinions (meaning the planet). If you've got one, someone will agree and lots won't. If you're looking for one, it's a try-before-you-buy market. There's no one-size-fits-all, but there are more than enough for everyone to have all they want. Don't like one? Leave it and keep shopping... lol.

i suppose i think the line is selling products on spark people.
people are here to lose weight, which is the one thing we all share. however, we come from different backgrounds, experiences, etc. there are a lot of religious groups on here and a lot of people who believe in a certain religion. no one takes offense to those posts. but if someone is into bdsm and posts a message related to that, they are somehow offending others.
i think this whole idea is subjective, but i'm with daddy: if it's not your thing, just ignore it. we'll be who we are.

| I agree, this should not be the place to discuss politics or anything controversial but the success of our weight loss and support of one another . But in all fairness to those that like discussing that stuff ..we are entitled toour opinoins and that is what makes us individuals. I just think it is not what Spark was designed for

I just ignore a lot of the political and religious posts, because those are highly subjective and not worth arguing about here.
I have flagged a couple of posts as inappropriate, but not because it was from someone who disagreed with me. The posts I have flagged are when someone is using Spark message boards to sell a product. I find that offensive and will continue to flag those.

and that is the whole point my friend ... I am who I am and don't try to be like the rest of you want to be . I would rather be friendless and be myself then have a huge amount of friends and be someone I am not *s*

Not to get on my soapbox too *s* but when I was told 20 someyears ago I couldn't have kids ....... my husband and I decided we would travel and guess what I got pregnant *lol* So I decided I wouldn't be your typical parent (trust me this story does have a point) AND I have always tried to raise my kids to "be themsevles" Do not be phony for one set of friends because they expect it and .well I think you get the picture. Now no one is perfect so I amy sometimes say one thing and do another but I WILL tell you that I try to tell my kids ( they are grown and moved out ) be yourself. Most people will accept you and like you for you ..not Ms. Phony Baloney . Ok I know you're goin ...so your point? *g* My point is I agree with what you wrote and I am who I say I am . Anyone who doesn't like me ,stay away from me . If you want to be my friend I will welcome you with open arms and if you find me perculiar or offensive or you just don't like me then son't bother with me . End of stor and I tell my coworkers that too because not to be full of myself but I am one of the most likeable people I know *g*

| Hello, my name is jeff, I have to tell you first that I have found alot of very useful information on this web site. I enjoy reading the different posts in many of the teams different forums. I have ran into some things that I didnt agree with and (ignored)them. Ignoring something that you dont find appropriate is something that you do everyday. I dont find it appropriate to blow cig smoke around people that dont smoke..I ignore it. I dont find it appropriate to curse in the presents of the elderly, people do..I ignore it. I dont find it appropriate to shoot animals out of season. Some people have to so their family has meat. when I know they are doing it..I ignore it. So, where am I going with this..people need to be able to be themselves regardless if you think they are appropriate..IGNORE it..People are compulsive, that word comes from the root word compel or compelled were you compelled to get up this morning? Are you now compulsive? Oh yes you are. Oh no you were compelled to read this!! Are you now a compulsive reader? Ease up! Take a breath, it will be ok. just email the people that you feel in your heart of hearts that might have gotten a raw deal and get your good karma back. You will be better for it., and might just make a great friend. So, it all boils down to your knowledge, the information you have gathered over the years and if you use it. If you need to tell someone that you dont feel that they are being appropriate then tell them, if they ingore you then they dont feel you were being appropriate. and ignore that. If you think I'm full of it tell me so and I'll ignore you. I may feel compelled to tell you so. The Father God loves you and Mother Earth needs a HUG! Peace, Love and Understanding, lonedaddy,..and hey keep smilin' coach and other people who feel compelled to police life, let go, it feels good
