That is a good idea. Hopefully that will be one of the next updates on the site.

height and body fat would be awesome to show!

KATYBETH, i didn't know that lol
but still, it doesn't show on the page and/or signature

MARTIET, i use metric system in my country so it's really obvious when someone uses kg vs lbs
1 kg = 2.2 lbs, you can't really go wrong in guessing...

DEFTONEZGRL420 - you can actually track your body fat by adding it into the area where you put your weigh-ins - click "Weigh in" on your start page, then click "change measurements," and then there's an option to "add measurements" - I do this and enter my weight, waist, body fat, thigh, and a few other measurements.

I totally agree! Both are a great idea! I guess I could also add it to my signature line too.Hopefully Sparkpeople will listen to us! Sometimes some people will say something to me about wanting to weigh 115 but I'm only 5'2", so I know it's not an unreasonable weight!

Awesome idea! I see people that want to be under 100lbs and I think they are nuts until I see that they are under 5 feet tall.

hey, I like the BMI siggy-line idea, too. I had a BMI readout once...did they do that at sp? I forget...

I guess until they get crackalacking on the BMI thingy, we could put it in our signatures...duh...I guess I didn't realize that until I saw Kim's ticker = P

Hey Martiet- You're not the only one- sometimes I find myself checking out a person's page just to figure out if they're talking lb or kg

I don't know if the ticker is the best place for it, but I'd love to be able to track my body fat percentage somewhere (I've looked around and can't seem to find a way to track it along with my calories, exercise, weight, etc)...

I also agree that height (and maybe even BMI) would be good to know!! It would definitely help make comparisons appear in a better light.

I think so too. I think it would definitely would bring more attention to BMI, which really tells you more about your state of health than weight.

I think it's a good idea, I have been having a problem with people thinking I have an eating disorder because my goal is 90 lbs but my height is 4'9. So I put bothe my height and BMI in my signature but people still compare me with peole that are 5'1-5'2 which is a lot taller than 4'9.

Totally dig the idea - as well as the BMI ticker.

That's a really good idea. I just put it in my signature though.

Or we could have BMI tickers!!! How great would that be.

i think it's a good idea too. i assume everyone is 5'8" as well and when i see someone is 147, i think 'that's a good weight for our height', but then realize she's 5'2".

I think that the height should be shown on everyones posts next to the ticker, or somewhere in the signature.. I mean if I see the same weight on the ticker, I obviously compare myself to the person, but then I find out somewhere that they're a foot shorter, so the difference is huge! What do you guys think?
