First of all let me start by saying that I am a huge fan of the food tracker and it has had the highest contribution in my weight loss. I have been tracking every bite I take for almost 3 months now. Given that numbers turn me on, I like to manipulate my data in various ways to track my performance. For that I have some suggestions. Some of these may have been made by others, but here goes.
--Nutrition weekly averages and bar charts: SP has this for Fitness Tracker but none for food tracker. A weekly average is better at giving me some sort of handle on bad weeks/months etc. The current chart with daily numbers is not helpful since it comes out rather "spiky".
--A line chart of calories over time broken by breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner: I play with the size of meals a lot to see which one makes me feel better. I realized that a bigger lunch is always better for me than a bigger breakfast. It would be nice to overlap the size of meal with workout calories that week.
--A line chart over time of carb, fat and protein % along with the current one which is in grams.
And last of all
--Some way of downloading all that food data to Excel: Since I really like to play with the data I entered, I can understand that it may not be in SP's best interest to implement sophisticated manipulation tools since not all members may want to use them. But if I can download the food data and some basic breakdowns (calories per meal) then I can do these charts my self. Right now there is no way to do this except paste the numbers from the summary table one week at a time.
All in all I love this site. I hope some of my suggestions make it some day.
