Are you a nurse? I was wondering. My husband works at our local hosptial and is bragging about me committed to losing weight. The nurses there are very interested in how I'm doing. He works in environment control.
Our only child daughter works for special needs middle school students as a teacher's assistant.
Bye for now

You are certainly right!! I suppose you could tweak them to make them better - well maybe not Paula's LOL!! That's a really good idea you have about emailing Ms. Ray's website!

Baab,
I had no choice the magazines like Rachel Ray and Paula Dean did not have the nutrient value and I wasn't about ready to look everything up. Beside consider the majority of their cooking, no way could it be healthy. Rachel Ray did start preparing some healthy meals but it's only done when someone on her show was that kind of person. I'm going to email her and ask her to include the nutrient value when on her website recipe when she does cook healthy.

Oh good, I wasn't sure as you said you were giving your magazines away. I don't cook creatively much but I LOVE reading recipes- crazy I know! I would cook more but my hubster is a VERY picky eater and will never try anything new. I've gotten really bored over the years with not being able to create in the kitchen! *heaves a heavy sigh*

Hi I realize that. When I make a recipe I put the infor into the computer. My recipe collection is huge and it would take forever.
I just love doing it this way. My husband and daughter are happy to help me input the information as far as nutrient info off labels. I can't read the find print.

No worries!
About your recipes, did you know that you can input them into SparkRecipes.com (same login) to get nutritional info on them without publishing them (add them to your favorites if you need to). It's free and it really helps me when I try some silly conconction which is rarely but still! Also, the site is full of wonderful recipes with nutritionals. Just be careful about how the servings were calculated.

your very welcomed. I went to the foot doctor yesterday and the nurse asked my blood level.. I hadn't taken it in a while. I'm very guilty of that. Now I have to keep track.
My husband and daughter are both helping me. They read the labels and I do the imput on the computer.
My books are getting might heavy with all the info.
I also decided to give away any food magazines that didn't have the nutrient value on the recipe.

When I started the Spark program my answer to prayer came forth. I am able to keep track of what I eat on the computer. I tried writing them down in books, making up food logs that were too small to write in.
Now that is no problem, I decided to go one step in order to lose weight. I keep several loose leaf books.
1. My printed meal log which I keep to show my doctor.
2. Huge book filled with recipes with incluces the nutrient value
3. A loose leaf filled with product labels.
4. Last but very important "Spark" information and any other printed infor which would help me lose my 150 lbs.
I also decided to keep track in the note section of the meal plan my blood count for the day being I'm diabetic.
I hope this will help others..
