| I am working hard on putting my fork down during the dinner as well. I am eating way to fast. I too am use to finishing up all on my plate. Leftovers is always great for the next day.

| Yep, I grew up under very similar circumstances and am still a strong believer in clean up your plate. Wasting food is bad bad bad. So I too had to learn to cook smaller amounts, or if I cook large amounts then I serve smaller servings so the rest of eh food can be kept for another day. It takes discipline. But SP helped create that discipline.

When I started SP and saw that the recommendation is to not drop below 1200 calories a day, I didn't understand it. But after reading enough, I try to ensure I don't drop below that. I think I'm seeing better results with steady weight loss by doing that. Just a thought - maybe you are hitting that.

Sometimes you plateau out, you usually have to do something to boost your metabolism. I think there may be an article on plateaus also. Sometimes when you are exercising you may not lose "weight" but inches instead. Have you been measuring, how do your clothes fit. As you gain muscle which weighs more than fat that can give a false impression of not losing but inches and they way clothes fit is a better indicator of whether or not you have definately plateaued. I had the foods down right and was convinced all I had to do was exercise more. I didn't even eat much junk food.
But I am realizing now that I was way out of whack with my portions. I grew up in the CLEAN UP YOUR PLATE era. My parents grew up with not much food to go around so we were taught not to waste it.
Now my husband and I are learning not to cook it, unless there is enough people to eat it! Control how much you cook and you control how much you eat!
