| I'm delighted to hear that and look forward to the improvements. If you ever decide that you need a proofreader, for recipes or articles, I'm available--it's one of my professional skills.

Hi Christine
Thanks for your comments... we appreciate your feedback. We'll take a look at what you commented on and see if we can improve on it. Thanks for being patient with us. We realize that being an "expert" doesn't mean we know it all, so it's great to get your help.
Let us know if you have any other problems! "Coach" Joe

What is the process you use for selecting and testing the recipes in your database? I think that they are full of good ideas, but somewhat deficient in the follow-through. An example is the recipe featured today: Caribbean Chicken.
Step 1 is "In a large sauce pan cook rice according to package directions." Step 6 is "Prepare brown rice according to package directions."
The serving size is 4 oz. of chicken and 1/3 cup of rice. There are 16 ounces in a pound, so if the recipe is for 6 servings, then they will be 2.6 oz. each. My package of brown rice (Texmati brand) says that 1 cup of uncooked rice makes about 3 cups of cooked rice. So the recipe would make a lot more rice than 6 1/3-cup servings.
I now also think that the directions are inexpert, but that's just my opinion and I will make my own adjustments. But I've lost some faith the trustworthiness of the recipes you provide. Are they tested by anyone before they are posted?
I'd be interested in knowing more about this aspect of the SparkPeople operation. Providing plenty of creative original recipes does not appear to be something that has priority in your approach, but it's something that I'm interested in.
