Hey Florida BBW, I feel the same way. I think the site is wonderful in the concept, but like you, I never get a reply to my posts, and no one ever answers my questions, but I don't think we should leave because of that. If you want a motivational friend, I will be there for you. Feel free to contact my anytime. I am usually on a couple times a day.
Keep coming back for other features as well. I am new to my town and have no friends or relatives here. My husband has been working crazy hours and all I have to talk to is my 2 year old, so I thought I would make a friend here as well, but more importantly, I read the challenges and post my progress for myself. This site has been helping me to motivate myself by helping see that I can do it, AND SO CAN YOU!!!

| I haven't even given a thought to gaining friends on my spark page. I am here to get a grip on my health...the different features are fun, but I'm here for the purpose of losing weight, keeping it off, bettering my insomnia, getting more motivation to exercise, etc. The first place I turn to each day is my food tracker, to start posting every morsel of food I eat each day.

| I don't think I have ANY friends on my page, and it never occurred to me that I was somehow lacking. I joined this site for ME. I know that no-one but ME can do what is necessary to live a healthier life. This site is a great resource, even if you are doing this all by yourself!! On the other hand I found that by going to some forums that interested me, and posting a few comments,I have had several people visit my page,and leave messages of encouragement. That is all I really need from this site.

| I don't have any "friends" listed on my blog page. I simply post to the threads/groups/forums that interest me. I have found that with some, it does take a bit to be....totally accepted, but I keep replying to posts. Maybe try to find a group that is of interest to you. If there is nothing specific here on the site, maybe try starting one of your own?

| Seems like there are lots of people here to share your ups and downs with. I don't have anyone on my friends list, I just post on the message boards when my mood hits. But if it helps feel free to add me to yours or sparkmail me if you would like to share your moments both good and bad.

Don't be down, just keep posting on the boards and maybe join some sparkteams. I'm a member of a few of them and they are active and always things going on and members always willing to help and give advice. If your interested check out my sparkpage and leave me a comment and I will get back to you or send me a private message.
If you would like a friend I'm here for you and I will help you in any way possible. Just stick in there and talk to me, I will listen. I will add you as a friend on my page and I will check in on you once in a while to make sure things are alright.

| I don't have many friends on the site but the ones I do have are wonderful caring people. You just have to reach out to others who have the same interests as yourself and don't be afraid to write a spark mail you would be surprized at the response.

I don't have many friends either, but posting on the message boards helps give me the support I need. When I first joined I had the mentality that I needed a buddy to lose weight...Still don't have one and I'm 15 pounds lighter! Keep a positive attitude and you'll see results!

You don't need to have people actually showing up as your friends on your Spark Page to get chat and motivation on here!
Just posting on the message boards keeps me motivated and reading other people's posts and blogs etc!
I'm a member of about 10 teams, but I don't necessarily expect the other members of those teams to add me as a friend.
The people who show on my page as friends are usually ones who stumbled across either a blog or a post and simply wanted to add me. I don't enter into any more online conversations or chats or motivation with them than I do with anyone else.
Please don't quit. This is a fantastic site with loads of resources to help you lose weight and get healthy. We're ALL really friendly, not just your official "friends"!

Is it me or what? I see everyone else has friends on here, I have 2 friends on here, I have extended friendship offers and have been ignored or not received a reply. Has anyone else found it hard to make friends?
I am thinking about quitting the site, because what is the point if I have no one to share my ups and downs with, or just to chat or motivate me?
