I use "enter calories option" which allows you to enter the calories that the eliptical machine tells you that you burned. Also you can enter a custom exercise and call it Eliptical Hill Profile lv3 for example but I just use eliptical and manually enter the calories that I burned. sometimes I will use the fitness notes to record the program I used on that day and the level.

My Gym has 2 types of eliptical so I created a seperate entry in my favorite exercises for the 2nd one which is a Cybex ArcTrainer. The Cybex is a more intense workout that burns more Calories, again I just manually enter the calories that the machine reports.

Hope this helps,
Richie

There are some things in the workouts that I wish had more options. If you put in treadmill you'll get like 20 different variations, therefore being more accurate to what you did. However, elliptical trainer only has one option so according to sparkpeople I would burn the same calories whether I was at level 1 or 20! I also swim laps and that doesn't have many options either. Does this bother anyone else with other excersizes only having one or two options that may not be accurate to what you did?
