I only click on the ones I'm actually interested in, but I frequently use the SP web search which generates profits for them.

Firefox blocks all pop-ups thanks God. most advertisements are full of problems anyway (like trojans, add-ons...) and being in IT means i know what to stay away from:)

Actually, I don't click on ads. My web browser automatically blocks ads so I never even see them. However, if SP added a donations button, I would donate!

I just updated my comments with this:

UPDATE: I found a page with an advertisement but I have ads BLOCKED! No wonder I haven't seen them. I'll have to change my settings in order to see them. Sorry for the confusion.

Bonnie, ads are typically at the top of each page. The SparkPoints wheel is generally sponsored by an advertiser as well.

I must not be paying much attention because I honestly have not seen the ads. Is there a page you can go to that simply lists all the advertisers? I do most of my shopping online and would probably support some of them but I can't seem to find them. Help me out. I'm a little dense (LOL)! Thanks.

You wouldn't have to buy the product, but it probably helps to actually spend a few minutes looking at the site instead of clicking and immediately closing the page.

Basically -- if something interests you, click on it. Support the advertisers who are helping keep Spark alive.

Does simply "clicking" the ad really keep the site free? I'd figure you have to buy the product?

I love this place and want / will support it being free any way that I can. I just would like to know if that really is all it takes, a click here and a click there???

I click on the ads a lot -- because they're usually something I'm interested in. I'm not sure how they do that...

It is because they get money from advertisers -- but advertisers don't buy ads unless they benefit. Sites register where Web traffic comes from -- the more that comes from Spark, the more likely they are going to want to continue that ad.

I thought that meant because we get money from advertisers we can offer the site & it's services to the members free.

Absolutely! I found one the other day about personal trainer workouts for my MP3 player - very cool - with a 10-day free trial.

Under each advertisement it says that sponsors help keep the site free. Do you click? I saw an Ann Taylor AD so I clicked. Have you seen any other interesting ADS?
