Dave, as you mention the zero value, would it be possible/viable to seperate a zero entry from an absent entry?
For example, when we enter a food, we could add NA for "Not available" rather than just leaving the box empty and having it as an assumed 0.

That's correct....since our database doesn't have much trans fat data, we wouldn't want people to track their trans fat and be misled to believe they are eating less trans fats than they are, since for most foods we would have "0" as the value. When we get a new USDA database, hopefully it will include trans fats.

I know ideally nobody should be eating transfats at all, but since we do sometimes I would LOVE to have a way to track them on the Nutrition Tracker like we can with other fats, calories, carbs, protein, sodium, etc...
I realize that it could be quite the undertaking when you think about all the items that are in the database that don't have any transfat information in them because the emphasis on them is fairly recent. Then there would be adding a spot for it in the user-entered nutrition information that we each have.
Do you think this something that is even possible or desirable?
Thanks!
Edit: Never mind! Found an old thread from April of last year about this. Apparently it will probably happen when Spark gets the newest USDA information.
