I usually do what you did when I run into this - make my best guessI figure close enough is good enough. If I really ate 1372 calories but only recorded 1350 because of situations like this, does it really matter all that much? If I can't find any nutrition information here or on the package, sometimes I will run it through google or yahoo or something and see if there's another source with nutrition estimates so I can enter it in. I'll google something like "rugulah nutrition information" and that works pretty well 60%-70% of the time. Cooking sites, recipe sites, health sites, etc...all frequently have nutrition information for foods not listed here at Spark.

I had a problem today with a food that is not listed and I don't have a nutrition label. The item is rugulah (kinda a cross between a pastry and a cookie). There was nothing in the file matching rugulah. The container doesn't have a nutrition label and only lists the ingredients (without amounts so I can't use the calculator).

I went ahead and used pastry for it, as nothing else really worked. Has anyone else run across this problem and what have you done?
