Just me nosing in again. I agree with Kincaid. Product placement is important. And I've had it for over a year, I believe it was a little difficult to download. But I couldn't live with out it now. My PDA is my world!!

Thanks Josh.

Just read your responses today. I am really disappointed that the Co-Pilot has been discontinued. It is a steller idea. The poor showing on the downolads may hve been a reflection of how the product was positioned and promoted. I know some people did't know where to go to even get it.

Continued regards for you all all the good folks with SparkPeople.

Thanks.

Hi!

We're not offering it as a download anymore. If you already have it, you can continue to use it, but we are not allowing any more downloads.

We won't be adding new features to the CoPilot, but we also will make efforts to make sure that it doesn't "break".

Kiddo,

I'm sorry we didn't reply to the problems you were having with the Site. Be assured that we know about the problems, and we're working on them!

Hi Kincaid,

Unfortunately, we have found that very few people even attempt to use the CoPilot, so for now, we are discontinuing support for the CoPilot. Sorry for any inconvenience!

Hi. I am fairly new to the program, and think this is a wonderful site. I thought i had found a wonderfull addition when I discovered the co-pilot.
. . . BUT, I couldn't even get it downloaded!
It was suggested I get something to aid in loading, but I decided not to do that.
Has anyone got any ideas about THIS problem?

Thanks for the reality check, Kiddo. Glad I'm not the only one experiencing this. Glad you are enjoying your new job.

Let's hang in there and give the folks at SparkPeople the opportunity to really give Co-Pilot a good "once over".

regards,

-Kincaid

Good luck with that. My bug reports have gone largely unfixed and in some cases unacknoweldged. But perhaps you'll have better luck.

I myself haven't used CoPilot in quite a while, but I do remember losing data and being quite frustrated. Hope it works out better for you.

Hey guys,

I want to propose that Co-Pilot needs some important troubleshooting.

This feature of Sparkpeople is one of its signature products. And on a daily basis, I believe it is the one that your cusomers use most often. So if there are fundamental problems in the way it runs, it creates 1) frustration for your customers pursuing goals, 2) it leaves the impression that the company is not up on its own quality control. Given the responsiveness of staff and your constant evolution, neither situation need continue.

I'll be more specific about the glitches. Despite at least one previous attempt to correct this, entering foods in the meal tracker has resulted in a "Run-time error '9'. Subscript out of range" prompt on several occassions. Since I am still cultivating the healthy discipline of entering my food information, this proves to be an annoyance. Just tonight, I wrote an important journal entry. When I uploaded all my new information to the Sparkpeople website, my entry was deleted from my journal.

Of lesser importance is the list of foods with exisiting nutritional information from which one can select. For example, most of Pizza Hut's specialty pizzas are listed. But if I want to enter a standard slice of pepperoni from a large pie, there's no option. Similarly, soft drinks seem to be listed in association with a fast-food restaurant cup size. But if I want to enter a standard 12 ounce can of Coke, I have no options listed.

With regards to food items, I believe you can aid your database if customers can upload the nutritional information of unlisted foods that they manually entered. When uploading to the Sparkpeople website from the Co-Pilot, these could be integrated into your databse after being given the once over. In fact, you could decide which of the newly detailed items you would even want to place in the larger catalogue.

I don't anticipate using the co-Pilot in its current state, primarly because of the technical glitches. But I feel strongly about its value. Please allocate some time on troubleshooting and let us know when we can download a new version.

Thanks. And keep up the good work.

-Kincaid
