Yes, that is how I did it. I also checked again and found out that the ticker still only sets up as weight loss only. I found the support groups though!

V,
I don't think you can set up your ticker that way, but you can set up your program information to give you the right calories and nutrients to gain weight.

| Has it changed? When I created my profile, it would not let me put a higher goal weight than my start weight. And I think I will look for those support groups that you mentioned since I am a recovering bulimic/anorexic myself. Thanks.

Thanks Jen, I'll send her a Sparkmail and tell her that. She just got out of hospital, so I think she is getting the help she needs in that way, and she realises she is anorexic, so I think that is a good thing too. She's not in denial, she knows she has a problem.
I just didn't want to see her off Spark when we can continue to support her, and try to help her through this.
Thanks again

Hi Rose!
If a member wants to gain weight, they can set their goal weight for a higher number than their current weight. Based on how much exercise they are doing, they will get a calorie range to help them gain. We hope to expand the ticker options in the future to include those who aren't trying to lose weight.
We do have an Eating Disorders Support Group in the Other Groups forum that Coach Nicole monitors. We are supportive of those trying to recover and become more healthy. But we also encourage one-on-one counseling for those who are struggling, since we are not professionals in this area and shouldn't be a replacment for professional help.
Hope that helps,
Coach Jen

Since Spark is a health site, it might be a good idea to encourage those who need to gain weight to find a home here.
One girl on a couple of my messageboards, is now anorexic and talking about leaving Spark. I think she needs to stay here where we can support her and she can track her food intake and such, just like those of us who still need to lose the weight.
I suggested that she start a board for anorexics, but am also wondering if maybe Spark could offer a choice on the ticker tape for those needing to gain and they could have their starting weight and goal weight?
Also maybe there could be some articles regarding self esteem and counselling and such for those who needed it?
What do others think?
Rose:)
