Hi Shell, Most of the major grocery stores don't have much of a selection in my area. I have to travel about an hour to get to a Fresh Fields store, so I am hunt regularly. But, we do have a new Giant food store and they seem to carry somewhat of a selection. In Giant they have some wheat free in the produce section, but the majority of stuff is in whatever aisle the 'regular' food is in. It took me forever to shop, but it was worth it. Yes I do get excited when I find something I can eat. You know now depressing it is when you look and can't find 1 thing!! Let me know if you find anything. Maria

Hi Maria,
That breakfast sounds great and I'm glad you found something that works for you, if you are anything like me I get so excited when I find a new food I can eat. Sadly, I am still allergic to the almonds and oates but it prompts me to look again at my supermarket to see if there is anything else new.

To everyone who is allergic to wheat - I just found (and had this morning) a GREAT tasting cereal with no wheat. It's called Vanilla Almond Crisp and is made by Peace Cereal. It's 70% organic, vegan, no wheat and grown & processed without gmo's. It has sliced almonds, crispy corm flakes and oat clusters with natural vanilla - and a serving size is a whole cup!!! It was crunchy, tasty and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I found it at our local Giant Supermarket.

| I can relate, I am severly allergic to all grains, wheat, barley, oates etc, I look at the meal plans and wish I could use them, but alas it is not meant to be (at least not yet! :)

| You are so right! Every diet shows whole wheat in it's menu plan and it's fustrating to say the least. I substitute my spelt or oat bread (home made) but know that it's just not the same. I think it makes it much more difficult for us to loose the weight? Anybody else have any thoughts on this?

| Just wanted to chime in that I wouldn't mind some option that allows you to exclude certain ingredients or make permantant substitutions in the meal planner for allergies as well. I am allergic to wheat too but for me I can tolerate *some* but when all I see is suggestions for wheat related foods it is sort of discouraging. thanks!

| Thanks I am just keeping track of my own food for now. I will admit tracking everything I eat really has helped me keep a grip on what I and my family eat. Thanks!

Right now there is not a way to take specific foods out of your meal plan, but we appreciate the suggestion! You might want to turn off the meal plans and just track your own food.

| I think the idea of the meal planner is great. It looks useless for pleople like me with a wheat allergy. I know there are other people like me out there. Could there be an option for people on a restricted diet?
