| I think the sidebar would be more of an asset if we could store a link to 5-6 boards to keep track of our challenges or at least a link to our posts.

Its growing on me. :) its a little weird that everything I use has moved to the left of the screen but I'll get used to that.
I wish the hot topics would change more often - I've already looked at all the ones that are listed over there!

| Hi SP people, it has been some time since I used this site. It is a big improvement in speed and functionality. SP remains a superior web site.

| I like the new features but, only having a 17" monitor, I didn't even realise the ones on the right were there until I read about them.

I'm not keen on the 'dead' space to the right either. I think if you're gonna have something on a 'sidebar' then you need to make the rest more narrower. Who's got a huge monitor that they can show all that at once?? Not me and having to scroll left/right is a pain.
I like the comment about personalizing our pages. I too don't use every feature this site has.

I love the changes, I love the quick button features. I agree that I miss it being center justified. The dead space on the right makes me feel like I am missing something. Also, someone said maybe a feature that lets us customize our pages? That would be great. I like the excersize of the day, but would probably put something else there if it were my decision. And also a quick button to my posts makes sense too.
Otherwise, this is the best most comprehensive diet/excersize/nutrition website I have ever encountered. I have been here for just two weeks and I have to keep pinching myself that its FREE!

| I absolutely hate the new design. The bar on the right makes the page feel cramped like everything is being pushed up against the left side of the page. There is too much stuff. Any future options of allowing each Spark member to customize their pages? I don't use all the features on Spark, but all the new alterations have made it increasingly difficult to navigate.

| I love anything here you do~ keep up the great job, I do have a suggestion for down the road though! how about a button along the top to see "Our Posts" I always have to go to the home page, and then down the left side and click on "My Posts" unless there's an easier way I don't know of? | I really think if you are going to put a menu on the right side, then great, but it should be further to the right. I feel like I am going to lean all the way over to the left and fall off my chair right now with this set up. I miss the wider centered screen :/

I agree with aldans. It may just be the resolution on my computer, but the way the new design is set up, about 1/4 of my screen on the right side is now blank. It will be nice to be able to access all of that stuff from anywhere. My only concern is: will it cause the page loading to take longer on dial-up? I am on DSL right now, but this summer I will be back to dial up. That is a legitimate concern for me.
Overall I like the changes though.

Hmmmm.... i think it's a good feature, but it's going to take some adjusting. i thought it was a "pop-up" advertisement at first and kept trying to close it without even looking at it... hehe.
but seriously, once i adjust to it, i'm sure i'll like it... it gives me the opportunity to take a look at other parts of sparks that i normally wouldn't do... like some new message board topics or the exercise of the day.

| I like the overall design, I think it's quite handy to have a lot of more things but I just liked it better when it was justified to the absolute center, this design leaves a lot of dead space to the right...

We're making some changes to SparkPeople's overall design and functionality that we hope everyone will like. You'll see it later today, but as a quick preview, it will include:
- A new site search functionality, which is available at the top of the site.
- New content on the right side of the page, to help everyone find more helpful stuff on SparkPeople.
- Some other changes.
