If you want to get rid of belly fat have you tried doing sit ups? It always helps me. It takes me around 2-3 weeks to remove all the fat I want but its totally worth it. Evertime you want to give up, just think about what you want to achive and how great you'll feel after youve achieved what your aiming for.

You don't have to be super skinny to be a cheerleader!! I'm a cheerleader and I'm 139 at the moment. There are girls who are much bigger than me that cheerlead also.
But yes you do need to be fit, so practicing your running each day as a workout should build your stamina.
You can do it! Don't discourage yourself for not being as skinny as some other girls, what matters is your smile, energy, personality, and skill.
Good luck! : )

For a teen, a healthy rate of weight loss is 1 pound a week on average. So, for you to lose 10 pounds by June is pretty realistic. Just keep working on healthy habits - eating the proper amount of nutritious foods and getting exercise 3-5 days a week (strength and cardio). The cardio will help you lose fat overall and the strength training will help you build muscle which will help you get a lean "hot" body. But do make sure you are eating enough calories and nutrients - sometimes that is overlooked and can cause more issues if you don't.

Here are a some articles to help you out:

Also, there are some running articles listed in the Fitness Resource Center that can help you work on improving your running to be able to run the mile under 10 minutes. Take some time to check it out!

You can do this!

SO i have been exercising and trying to eat healthier, but all this belly fat just wont come off. I want to try out for cheerleading but to even get into tryouts you have to run the mile under 10 minutes. I'm not that fast of a runner and i give up very easily. I feel like I'm not doing something right. Also i want to loose 10 pounds by june. Is that a good pace? i really want to loose 50 pounds but i have no idea how much time i should give myself! I just feel like quitting but then i want to loose weight. SOmebody PLease Help me!
