Are you also drinking water? You are correct, that since you haven't been eating the proper amount of calories, that you are likely to gain weight at first, but that is because your body still isn't sure if it is a fluke that it is being given the proper amount of calories. It may still be holding on to it because you have been starving it for so long, but it will start to realize that it is no longer being starved and your metabolism will start to speed up and you will start to see the weight come off.
Are you also taking measurements? The scale shouldn't be the only way to measure your success/progress either. Other ways to do this: notice how your clothes fit, how you feel and how your fitness level changes/improves.

| I started eating more because i had a low metabolism. I know I can expect to gain a little weight, but I've gained almost 3 pounds in the last week and a half. I have been exercising a lot, almost everyday this week for an hour. I have also been eating the daly required calories amounts. I have gained about 10 pounds just in the last 5 months. I really just want to loose about 7 pounds. Help!
