A healthy rate of weight loss for a teen is 1 pound a week. You do need to give it time. Remember, your body is growing and developing - it is going through a lot of changes, so you need to make sure you are giving it the proper nutrients and calories. Losing weight too quickly is not healthy for your growth and development, so please be a little more patient with yourself.

It is ok to have a treat from time to time - just so it's not all the time. This is about creating healthy habits so you will have a healthy lifestyle which will keep you from having to go on/off of diets. Slow and steady wins the race!

I would recommend that you use the Nutrition Tracker a few times a week to see what you are eating and to see where you stand with your calories and nutrients. Don't forget to check out the articles in the Resource Center. Here are a few:

hey I dont really know what to do. Like how long does it usually take to lose 25 pounds? Because I start off good for one week and then start pigging cause I think its too slow. Also is it alright to eat something sweet once in awhile? And when I start eating I cant stop what do I do?
Help I really want to lose weight cause my dad is like your so fat and yeah
