wow i have excatly the same prob and it really annoys me!!!! but i think i will take some of these tips on board i think everyone shud get a buddy to help them to email or something if i really can't stop myself i go for the healther option

| I have the exact same problem. When you go to the kitchen ask yourself why you're doing it. Are you really hungry or just bored? When I realize that I'm just bored and I don't need the food then it's easier to just turn around and find something else to do.

| first, i drink a bottle of water (with sugar free crystal light) to make me feel more full. then, i go do stuff on the internet and chat with my friends so that i'll forget about eating and not be bored. i know how hard it is--it's one of my main problems!! good luck

| I have a problem with that too. What helps me is thinking about how regretful and disappointed I'll feel after I finish gorging myself. Usually that gets me to stop, but it also definitely helps to take your mind off food by doing a fun activity.

| hey waterbender!!! i know exactly what you mean^^ you just have control the portion you eat. instead of taking out a bag of chips, take out a small bowl. then when you finish the bowl your done, no more, because you have already eaten. and you'll eat later that day at dinner or lunch. dont keep eating when you could be making another really cool drawing, walking around your yard or hanging out and talking with your friends and family!

When you find yourself bored or starting to eat because you are blindly eating or bored, find an activity to do to keep yourself busy and away from the kitchen. Go for a walk, call a friend, find a new hobby - anything to keep you busy.

| Does anyone sit down for a snack, and you just cant stop because your blindly eating or bored? does anyone knnow how to keep this from happening, or to stop it? I feel really guilty after eat X amount of calories just because I'm sad or bored.
