We would advise you to work with your diabetic educator/registered dietitian to set up a weight loss plan that is specific for your medical condition. Our site is not designed for specific medical conditions. You can track your intake with the food tracker but you want to make sure your insulin meds, exercise plan and food plan match and support one another.

If you are experiencing low blood sugar then that is a sign that things are not balanced correctly for weight loss so get in to see your educator. Always remember that you need to mix a complex carb as well as a protein source for the best snack options.

Hi! I'm new here and I have diabetes! I want to lose around 30 pounds. Anyways, my bloodsugar sometimes gets low. What do you think a good snack would be that has complex carbohydrates but is also healthy and will keep me on my weight loss plan.

Does anyone else here have Diabetes? I'm type 1!
