It can, depending on how you set your goals up. Depending on the time frame you gave for how much weight you are looking to lose in that amount of time. Also, if you change your fitness goals to being more active, that is also taken into account for the calorie intake.

ermm yeah I know that the calories will never go below 1800 but do they ever get higher than 2150?...my range is always between 1800-2150 and I'm just curious why is it the same for everyone?...shouldn't people that weigh more have to eat more calories??..it doesn't make sense for a 97 lb 16 yr old 5'2" girl to be eating the same amount as a 150 lb 16 year old 5'2" girl...that's what my main question was..

That is the lowest amount of calories that we will recommend for any teen. Your body is growing and developing and it needs a minimum of 1800 calories each day for growth and development and for typical daily functions like your heart beating, your lungs expanding, muscles contracting etc. Also, we will not allow you to set a goal to lose more than 1 pound a week. These are set as it is the safest for a teen to lose weight and still get the proper nutrition and energy for their bodies needs.

If you set different goals (longer time frame for your weight loss), you may see that the calorie range is increased. But it will never go lower than where it currently is because it is not safe for you to eat less than that.

Hope this helps!
