Not likely, but I'm not a doctor and that would be something to ask him. He would have more insight to knowing if that could be the cause.

You definitely should be talking to your doctor about this.
You are already at healthy BMI at this time, but there could be other things going on.
Also, about your mom and grandma weighing so little - everyone's body's structure is different. Being at that weight and age for them, sounds like they were underweight which is not healthy. You can't compare yourself to others, including your family - you do not have the same body as others.
I'm glad you are going to be seeing your doctor! Hopefully he will be able to help you get this worked out.

im just annoyed that ive got 15 lbs over the weight i was when i stopped getting my period...and i know that if i go to a doctor (which i am gonna go to, by the way, in like 2 weeks)he might just say that i need to gain more weight or something. but i know thats not the case...
it also annoys me to think that my mother and my grandmother (who are both taller than me), weighed only 100lbs untill they were married and had their first children (and they were well over 30 years old by that time) and here i am at 17, stopped growing when i was 12, shorter than all of them, and lose my period at 100. *sigh*

OMG we're the SAME height with the SAME problem (except I still haven't gained my weight back) I went from about 125 lbs. to 93 lbs. in 1 and a half weeks. I stopped my period around 100 lbs. I haven't been on mine for almost a year. Now I weigh 98 lbs. I wonder what weight we'll have to be to continue our periods?... It may be "The Curse" but us women need our periods...

If i were u i'd try talking to my mom or a doctor. Friom going through such a weight loss than gaining it back it's possible that ur body wasn't ready for it.

i lost some weight, and went from 110 to about 95 lbs and my period stopped coming when i was at around 100lbs....now i gained all the weight back (this is almost 8 months after my last period) and im at 115 (and have been for 2 months) and still no period. why is this? and when will it come back? i know i dont have to gain more weight, and i have plenty of fat in my diet, and only exersize about once a week for an hour (maybe twice sometimes. i have more fat and weight on me than ive ever had in my whole life, so why isnt my period back yet?
and also...would it be wise to want to go back to my original weight at 110? im 5'3 with tiny bone structure, and really feel uncomfortable now at 115.
