It's lactic acid that your muscles buildup after exercise, and it stays 1-2 days, depending on the effort or person. How was the training with the 5 pounds? Was your last set easy to go through? You should, depending on your progress, raising the weight a bit every 1/2 week when starting, it goes fast.

maybe ur body just got used to it..if u feel that u need to increase then do so but becareful u dont want to get hurt

Hey, I did an hour of strength training with 5 lbs. weights last night. When I first started working out, my muscles were sore the next day, but today they are not. Should I increase my weights?? If so, to what...the next size up at Wal-Mart is 8 lbs. so is that the weight I should get??
