Check out our Teen's Guide to Fitness on your Start page. It lists the things that need to be present for activities to "count" as cardio. If your heart rate isn't up to a certain level, then it's not cardio, even if it is physical activity. I'd say to include the portion where your heart rate is up.

I do 3 ballet classes a week. They range from an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes. I was wondering if I should put the whole thing down in my fitness minutes because I don't really break a sweat until about half way through. Thanks!
