Hey Samm-
wow this sure brings back memories!

I'd recommend checking out the Cheerleading SparkTeams on the site to get advice from other cheerleaders.

When I would prepare for cheer tryouts, I'd ask my parents to book me a couple private sessions at our local gymnastics/cheer gym. Then I'd get help from an experienced gymnasts and collegiate cheerleader on all the core moves and tips on how to make them better. If something like that exists near you and your parents are willing, I'd recommend it.

Good luck!

I am gonna try out for cheerleading in 8th grade and I need some tips.
They require you to do a cartwheel and round-off(I can do but they need some work)
Splitz, toe touch(I can do a hurkey and a side hurkey but no toe touch.) and they advise a back or front handspring.

So any tips on how to get better at a cartwheel or round-off?
How to do the splitz?
Do a back or front handspring?
Or toe touch?
If so please post here
