The best way to train for an endurance ride is to do exactly that--ride your bike and gradually increase your distance. I'm sure you can probably find some training guides online if you do a search, but sport-specific training (exercising like you will on race day) is usually the best way to get yourself ready.

Hi there I need to start training now im aiming to do an enduraance ride in august thats 30 miles or if im really ready a 40 mile one i dont really know where to start, whats the best for of getting fit and making my muscles stong cause i will use my legs a lot. I'l be rising in the saddle for more than 5 hours so need some good stamina. just wondered if you guys had any tips or new any training websites. that would be great thanks alot :)
