Walking is a good program for beginner exercisers, but your workout shouldn't be based on time (walk for 15 minutes) but rather distance (miles) and even better a time:distance ratio. You should walk 3 miles 3-4 times a week, but not slow strolling and constant stopping: make it a workout. Walk at a quick steady pace for 3 miles. Do this for a while, but just walking isn't going to get you the results you want. After 3-4 weeks of doing this, you have to get yourself moving or you will plateau. Get interested in a sport, do something that isn't boring to you. Dance, do aerobics, swim, whatever makes you happy AND challenges you.

Ok so I don't really exercise a lot I do some but my main thing is walking. I try to walk at least 15 mins a day at least 4 times a week is that good? I ca't really "Get myself moving" to like to jumping jacks and the kinda of thing. I use my stopwatch on my ipod and just walk...somtimes start running or jogging but then go back to running. Am I doing it enough for it to have any efect on me? and what muscels does it tighten or strethen? My mom said it will help my abbs but she tells me that with everything...I think it's so I'll go away lol. and if it is helping how long is it before I'll start to se results? Thanks! :)
