As you know, seeing your doctor is the best option. I'd highly discourage you to continue running, regardless of how minor your injury might be, until you get evaluated. Small injuries can become big, debilitating injuries if you don't take care of them--and that could leave you unable to run at all. At least see your doc to see what's up--you can always choose to not take the course of treatment, but I think it's in your best interest.

My left leg has been bothering me for a few weeks now. It's on the inside of my left leg. It isn't an unbearable amount of pain, it's really not THAT bad, doesn't effect my training at all, just worries me. Sometimes during the workout it goes away. It's actually been a bit worse the past week, and I can almost feel a small dull ache right now.
I did steps today, jumping up steps with only 1 leg, and during that it doesn't hurt. It seems like if it was a stress fracture it would hurt during that, it's a lot of pounding. Also, the last time I got a stress fracture, diff place, I was running like 9 miles on concrete, with hills. Now I'm on the track, with only 1 mile warmup, slow, on pavement. So it doesn't seem like I would have one. It also seems like it would have hurt a lot more by now if it was one.
It still worries me though, since it hasn't gone away, and was a little worse. I don't think I get enough calcium.
Does this sound like it could just be shin splints? Is there a website that can help me with more information on determining it? I don't want to get an x-ray unless it gets worse. Sadly, even if it is broken, I'm going to have to run through it. Junior season, and I absolutely need to break 10:40 2 mile this season. I know you'll tell me not to though, but I can't wait another season. D;
